Annie D

Annie D
Chestertown, MD

Several resources list the Annie D as a buy-boat. In the past, buy-boats would make their rounds to buy seafood directly from harvesters. Buy-boats would offer slightly less for seafood harvests but waterman would often sell to buy-boats to enable them to stay and continue to harvest rather than having to return to dock to unload their wares.
